Plans in to transform former Salford miners club site
King Associates is eyeing the five-acre brownfield plot off Temple Drive to deliver up to 63 houses.
Outline proposals for the former site of Pendlebury Miners Club would see the demolition of two houses at 14 and 16 Goodwood Drive to make way for the housing development.
Designed by Triangle Architects, the scheme would feature 17 two-, 34 three-, and 12 four-bedroom houses, including five affordable homes. Properties would range from 800 sq ft to 1,200 sq ft.
Plans also include the creation of access off Goodwood Drive.
Residents would be provided with off-street or driveway parking, with plans featuring a total of 101 car parking and 126 cycle spaces.
The site is currently vacant following the closure and subsequent demolition of the former miners club in 1999.
Frost Planning is the planning consultant for the scheme. Also on the project team is transport consultant Eddisons, structural engineer ALM Consult, and arboricultural consultant Murray Tree Consultancy.
Hann Tucker Associates is the noise consultant. Hydrock is advising on flood risk and drainage strategy.

Utterly ludicrous plan. “we could build some houses here, only if we bulldoze these existing ones” dum. Ohh and better not mention the Black Harry Tunnel
